BOURBON stands for informed performance practice with a fresh touch and brilliant polish.
All three pillars are combined in every soloist who is part of this young ensemble. Together BOURBON creates a profound sound which the ensemble reinstates in every performance. The artistic leader, Manuela Maria Mitterer, pushes boundaries of sound-creation and establishes a mix of varied articulations in BOURBON. She creates fresh programs while keeping the focus on historically informed performances. The nature of BOURBON lies in the versatility and dedication in every aspect. In 2019 the ensemble had its debut at the Heinrich Schütz Musikfestspiele.
Bringing baroque music to the audience with a new vision and imagination of sound. All of us are specialists on our instruments and we love to share it within the ensemble and of course with our audience!
Playing baroque musical treasures for ourselves & our audiences whilst creating the right overtones together.
